CAD/CAM Zirconia

CAD/CAM Zirconia crowns and bridges are milled from high―purity zirconia blocks using our state―of―the―art 5―axis milling machines. Zirconia offers exceptional flexural strength (over 1200 MPa), making it ideal for posterior restorations and multi―unit bridges where conventional ceramics might fail.

Our digital workflow ensures precise fit with minimal chairside adjustment. Zirconia restorations are metal―free, highly biocompatible, and resistant to bacterial adhesion, making them an excellent choice for patients and clinicians prioritizing health and longevity.

Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Our CAD/CAM zirconia restorations are milled from high-purity yttria-stabilised tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (Y-TZP) with a flexural strength exceeding 1200 MPa. This makes it among the strongest dental ceramic materials available — significantly stronger than feldspathic porcelain (60–100 MPa) or lithium disilicate (400 MPa).
For CAD/CAM zirconia, we recommend a chamfer or rounded shoulder margin with a minimum axial reduction of 0.8 mm and occlusal clearance of 1.0–1.5 mm for monolithic, or 1.5–2.0 mm if a porcelain overlay is planned. Avoid sharp line angles and knife-edge margins. Adequate preparation depth ensures the restoration has sufficient thickness for strength.
Full-contour (monolithic) zirconia has an extremely low chip risk because there is no porcelain overlay. In the very rare case of a fracture, intraoral repair with composite resin is possible as a temporary measure, but a new restoration is typically the recommended long-term solution. This is why monolithic zirconia is preferred for high-load posterior cases.
Yes. Zirconia is 100% metal-free and has an excellent biocompatibility profile with no known allergic reactions reported in dental use. It is the preferred choice for patients who require a metal-free restoration due to allergy, sensitivity, or personal preference.
Zirconia shading is applied through a combination of pre-coloured zirconia discs, surface stains, and glaze. Please specify the shade using the VITA Classical or 3D-Master system on your prescription. A clinical photograph with a shade tab is strongly recommended for accurate colour communication.
