Frequently Asked Questions

We fabricate a full range of denture prosthetics including: BPS precision complete dentures, conventional complete dentures, acrylic removable partial dentures (RPD), flexible thermoplastic RPDs (Valplast), and precision cast cobalt-chrome partial denture frameworks. We also fabricate immediate dentures, duplicate dentures, and implant-supported overdentures.
A conventional complete denture requires a minimum of 4–5 clinical appointments: primary impressions, custom tray secondary impressions, jaw registration and tooth selection, try-in, and fit. BPS precision dentures involve a more structured protocol with additional functional records. The number of laboratory stages corresponds to each clinical appointment.
Yes. We offer denture duplication services. A spare copy of an existing denture is valuable for patients who rely heavily on their prosthesis. Please send the existing denture clearly labelled with a prescription specifying whether any changes are required to the teeth, occlusion, or base.
We stock a comprehensive range of acrylic and composite resin denture teeth in multiple shades (VITA scale) and moulds (shapes). For best aesthetic results, tooth selection should be guided by the patient's skin tone, age, gender, and the shape of the residual ridge. Please include photographs of the patient where possible for reference.
For an RPD, please send: primary impressions of both arches, a bite registration, a surveyed study model (if available), and a completed prescription specifying the clasp design, rest seat locations, major connector design, and tooth shade. For cast partial frameworks, a surveyed model is essential for accurate design.
With proper care, a well-made denture can last 5–8 years before requiring replacement. Over time, the fit changes as the underlying bone and soft tissue remodel. Regular check-ups, relining, or rebasing can extend the life of the prosthesis. Flexible RPDs may have a shorter service life in heavy bite cases.
