Screw Retained Implant Crown

Screw―Retained Implant Crowns offer the advantage of retrievability, making them the preferred choice for many implantologists. Unlike cement―retained restorations, screw―retained crowns eliminate the risk of excess cement causing peri―implant disease.

Jalandhar Dental Lab fabricates screw―retained crowns with precisely positioned screw access channels using digital design, ensuring optimal aesthetics without compromising the screw access. Available in zirconia, PFM, and hybrid ceramic materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

The main advantage is full retrievability. A screw-retained crown can be easily removed by the dentist for maintenance, soft tissue assessment, or repair — without the need to destroy the restoration. This is particularly valuable for implant monitoring and for managing any future prosthetic complications.
We position the screw access channel digitally to emerge through the lingual or occlusal surface of the restoration, minimising any aesthetic impact. For anterior single-unit crowns, we carefully plan the channel position to remain invisible during normal function and at rest. The access hole is sealed with PTFE tape and composite resin after the final torque.
Always follow the implant manufacturer's recommended torque specification for the specific system being used. This is typically between 15–35 Ncm depending on the implant system and screw design. Please refer to your implant system's clinical documentation for the exact torque value.
Please send: an open-tray or closed-tray impression with the impression coping engaged, an opposing arch impression, bite registration, shade prescription, and your prescription form specifying the implant system, platform diameter, and confirmation of screw-retained design. A periapical radiograph showing the implant position is also helpful.
